The loss of a job can be one of the most painful experiences in your life. So many emotions go through one's mind: 'Am I a failure?' 'Why did this happen to me?' 'It's been a long time since I looked for a job!' Whatever you are thinking, worry, doubt, and fear begin to set in.

It is alright to experience FEAR of not being employed.
Your quality of life is determined by the quality of your emotions—how you feel and the nature of those emotions. Consider how accomplishing something or acquiring something you've always wanted makes you feel. The management of these feelings is entirely within your control; no one else dictates how you experience them.
Here are five tips for you to try:
1. Learn strategies to manage your fear and negative emotions that may hinder success.
2. Develop a clear and precise plan of action outlining the roles you are qualified for.
3. Create a strategic action plan to guide you in the right direction and provide an advantage in securing that job (improve your resume to stand out, practice your communication techniques in selling your value, research the company and its hiring managers, etc.).
4. Craft high-impact self-marketing tools.
5. Create and master self-marketing skills to begin your journey to Personal Empowerment.

Once you focus on a plan of action, it dispels the debilitating emotions of fear. You become empowered to create a plan for a new role that better suits you, offers interesting challenges, involves working with people you like and trust, and most importantly, provides a better income.
Change may be challenging initially but consider that it opens your life to new opportunities. It can lead to a new adventure or push you into a career you never thought existed. So, step off that emotional roller coaster and start enjoying your own ride."
