LAND THAT JOB by CONQUERING YOUR FEAR

For the past several weeks, I've had the pleasure of training several top leaders in the working industry. I am happy to say they are content, well-appreciated, and are earning more income than before! I discovered that these talented individuals were excellent at what they do: leading teams, making important decisions to move their organization forward, and dealing with the struggles of maintaining a profit and achieving those goals. However, under uncontrolled circumstances, their roles were downsized or eliminated. All of a sudden, they were riddled with fear, wondering how to find another high-paying role in this competitive job market. So, for those who are feeling the same way, here are some of the tips I gave my clients.
1. Control how you think. People have the unique ability to change what they think. How you deal with adversity will shape your life more than almost anything else. If you associate pain, fear, and failure with losing a job or seeking a job you may begin to believe that there's nothing you can do to make things better. You'll risk developing a sense of hopelessness or outright depression. These beliefs are destructive beliefs and success achievement becomes almost impossible. On the other hand, you can realize your belief system is not healthy emotionally and is not supporting your goals, ambition and potential and you can change that instantly!
2. Fear is normal; it can't be eliminated, nor should it be ignored. Fear must be conquered. It has been proven that landing a new, more rewarding job begins as soon as you learn how to conquer your fear and manage your mindset. In fact, if you don't acknowledge your fear, you'll become more at risk psychologically. Disarming and conquering your fear begins with recognizing its presence, accepting it, and taking action to manage it.
As a Certified Empowerment Motivational Professional my goal is to empower everyone engaged in the job campaign process to effectively address fear and its accompanying debilitating emotions, including guilt, resentment, doubt, helplessness, and feelings of being overwhelmed.
