THE PLAN is simple
Recently, I coached an executive who expressed her desire for me to prepare her to interview for a Vice President role in her industry. Once we completed the coaching program, she called me three weeks later to inform me that she was in the third round of interviews for a VP role!
However, she stunned me by declaring her intention to TURN IT DOWN!
"What?" I exclaimed. "Why?"
She explained that during our process, I had helped her reconsider what was truly important to her. Rather than satisfying her ego, she realized that what mattered most to her was not a VP role, but rather the quality of life: spending time with her children and husband, working with like-minded people, and still earning a decent wage.
It's a happy ending. She found clarity by reassessing her priorities.
Here are 4 simple tips: Write out a list of what you truly want in life in pencil, because you can tweak it at any time. Share this with your family and friends!!
List it in numerical order.
Once completed, look at your list and regroup it like this:
1. Most important desire and goal
2. Next to each desire and goal, make a dash and write out how you plan on making it happen. What steps do you need to take? (This is called making THE PLAN)
3. Then remake the list properly with the solutions you made for yourself to follow.
4. PRINT IT OUT AND POST IT SOMEWHERE YOU SEE IT EVERY SINGLE DAY.
REMEMBER: Patience married with a Positive Mind-set. Wait for everything to come into place.
This has been a proven method in helping one sort out the direction they would like to go in their lives. If you try this, write back to me. I would love to hear your story!
